Leaving the airport, stay on Kekuanaoa Street as you cross the highway (route 11).

Turn right onto Kilauea Street. Move to the middle lane before the next light in preparation for a left turn.

Turn left onto Mohouli Street. After passing the second light, move to the middle lane in preparation for a left turn.

Turn left onto Komohana Steet. Before the next street light, move to the middle lane in preparation for a left turn.

Turn left onto Nowelo Street.

Immediately turn left through the median cut into the CSO parking lot.

Leaving CSO parking lot, turn right onto Nowelo Street.

Immediately go to the middle lane.

Turn left onto Komohana Street.

Turn right onto the Puainako Extension (route 2000)

This road will merge with the Saddle Road (route 200).

Proceed to the 27 mile marker, then turn right onto the Mauna Kea Access Road.

Pass the Ellison Onizuka Visitor Information Station.

Turn right into the Hale Pohaku complex. There is additional parking on the right.

Leaving the Kona airport, turn left (north) onto Queen Kaahumanu Highway (route 19).

Proceed 18 miles, then right onto Waikoloa Road.

Proceed 12 miles, then turn right onto route 190.

Proceed 2.9 miles. Watch for the “Saddle Road” turn.

Turn left onto the new Saddle Road (route 200)

Proceed 23.5 miles, then turn left onto the Mauna Kea Access Road.

Pass the Ellison Onizuka Visitor Information Station.

Turn right into the Hale Pohaku complex. There is additional parking on the right.

Leaving the airport, turn right (south) on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (route 19).

Turn right on Palani Road into town.
